COMIC ART RESTORATION SERVICE
Hello, My name is Robert Dennis and I would like to offer my services in the area of comic art restoration, and text & logo stat reproduction. My background in the graphic arts, as well as my knowledge of the comic book field enables me to take a less than desirable piece of original art and transform it - through cleaning, tape removal, tear seals, stat reproduction, and image reconstruction - into a product that displays all of the merits that the work was originally intended to present. I first honed my skills by working on many pieces of original cover art produced for the Harvey titles of the 1940s, '50s, and 60's. I must thank Heritage Comics, the auction service located in Dallas, TX, and, specifically, Ed Jaster, for entrusting me with nearly 250 pieces of original cover artwork with which to do this. I am now receiving higher quality pieces from an expanding client base.
My fees for this service are based on an hourly rate of $45 with a one hour minimum charge. As I keep files on all of the stats that I create, I'm able to complete covers from the same titles in shorter time periods.
